Milk, yay or nay

Updated: Jun 20, 2021

"Milk is good! There's calcium in it" "Milk give us stronger bones!"

These are the things we usually hear and see on marketing ads.

Yes we know calcium is good for bones. But none of us can be sure that our body will be able to absorb the calcium from the milk positively. Also, not too sure if you guys are aware that animal's milk actually produce acid when they are broken down? Acid produced from the Cow's milk will rob our bones of calcium (make our bones weaker). Drinking three or more glasses of milk a day may increase the risk of bone fractures in women as according to research.

Dairy products are well known for their minerals. Unfortunately most of it are high in calories and fats.

We are not telling you what to eat and what not to eat. But we believe there are always alternatives and ways to achieve the minerals that our body desire. Eg. fruits / vegetables and meat they do contain minerals as well!

PS : The ideal way to have stronger bones is to participate in weights training. It does help to increase our bone density and of course it increases our muscle mass as well! Most importantly weights training will burn fats and calories instead of putting them in our body.
